There are a multitude of different cleaning strategies and "recipes" you can make with items you most likely already have in your pantry!! These can be a life saver if you ever get in a pinch and don't have the "proper" cleaning solution or can just be very cost effective when used regularly! 🤯

This week we're sharing some of our favorite "homemade cleaning recipes" that you can take advantage of in your own homes! From vinegar, to baking soda, to lemon juice, these DIY solutions can save you money and are eco-friendly (as opposed to all the chemicals you may find in store bought products!).🤩

Multi-Purpose Cleaner

This cleaner is great for counter tops, cabinets, and other surfaces!! It only requires two ingredients and it's highly effective and simple for everyday cleaning!🥰

  • 1 Gallon Hot Water

  • 1 Teaspoon Powdered Tide

  1. Fill bucket with 1 gallon of hot water

  2. Mix 1 teaspoon powdered tide laundry into bucket

  5. Wipe floors, cabinets, or counters with solution

Natural Wood Flooring

This mix is only to be used on natural finished wood flooring or other sealed wood flooring! But it is super effective as the oils help polish and increase shine to the wood. However, keep in mind, it can be slippery so make sure to dilute well and wipe with a clean microfiber rag as needed to dry!☺️

  • 1/3 Cup Distilled White Vinegar

  • 1/4 Cup Olive Oil

  • 2-3 Teaspoons of Lemon Juice (OR 10 Drops Essential Oils For scent)

  • 5 Cups Hot Water

  1. Mix Olive Oil, Vinegar, Essential Oils or Lemon Juice and hot water into a bucket

  2. Dip mop into and squeeze out well, the mop should be just damp, not wet

  3. Clean floors and enjoy!

Glass and Mirrors

This is a two ingredient solution and works amazing on your windows or mirrors. It is super simple and the only mix you need to effectively clean any glass in your home!!🪟

  • 1 Cup Distilled White Vinegar

  • 2 Tbsp Blue Dawn Dish Soap

  1. Grab empty spray bottle

  2. Pour 1 cup distilled white vinegar into bottle

  3. Pour 2 tbsp Blue Dawn Dish Soap into bottle

  4. Shake

  5. Spray glass shower doors or mirrors, and let sit for 10+ minutes; or overnight if very bad

  6. Wipe with clean microfiber towel to clean

  7. Rinse if it’s a glass door or stand alone glass item (not necessary for mirror)

  8. Squeegee Glass; if rinsed
